Dedication Ceremony
Sponsors, heroes, family, friends, and the public are invited to join us as we dedicate our flags and honor our heroes. The dedication ceremony will take place at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the West Shore Theatre (317 Bridge Street; New Cumberland).
 
We are delighted that Gary Crowell will be our featured speaker for the dedication ceremony.
 
Upon graduation from Penn State, Gary was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the Marine Corps. Tours of duty in Vietnam 1966 and 1967. Awards include the Bronze Star w/V device, Purple Heart, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Presidential Unit Citation. He departed the Marine Corps with the rank of Captain.
 
He previously served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the U. S. Department of Homeland Security; Assistant Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Secretary of the PA Department of General Services; President/CEO PA Industries for the Blind and Handicapped; Chief Clerk of the PA Senate; and, Vice President, PA Chamber of Business and Industry.   
 
Gary was Inducted into the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Hall of Fame; is a recipient of the PA Meritorious Service Medal; Quilt of Valor Award; PA Lions Fellowship Award for service to disabled veterans; and, an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
 
Past memberships include the PA Veterans Memorial Commission; the PA Veterans Museum; Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society; Leadership PA; and the Keystone Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
