Meeting most first and third Thursdays of the month from 8:00 - 9:00 am
at Perkins Restaurant (7 Erford Road; Lemoyne, PA)
Although the RCWS is meeting offsite on Thursday, November 17, 2022, it's common practice for the club to publish a pre-meeting Spokesman. So, here we are!
November 17 Meeting at Members 1st Federal Credit Union
For those who preregistered, we will have a brief meeting starting at 8:30 am with donuts and coffee available. A tour of the facility will be available starting at 9:15 am.
A huge THANK YOU to Taylor Garrett for handling the details of this meeting!
(M1 is located at 5000 Marketplace Way; Enola. Please park in the upper lot, the area in front of the building's entrance. The parking lot is for visitors. Taylor will meet everyone at the front doors at 8:15 AM.)
Salvation Army "Be the Light" Campaign
Though the weather was brisk - really brisk - our club is represented among the trees outside the Salvation Army's office in Harrisburg.
The tree lighting ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 17 at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend, though you may want to arrive early since the crowd is expected to be large and parking may be difficult.
Click here for more information about the tree lighting ceremony.
Club Grant: Care Kits for Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties
Special thanks to Erin and Taylor for heading up our grant project! The supplies have been purchased and are ready for assembly.
We will meet at the home of club member Erin Sunday at 5:00 pm on Monday, November 21 and work until we have 50 kits done. Please email Erin if you are attending so she knows how many people to expect, and/or if you need directions.
Random Announcements
Please mark your calendars for Thursday, December 15 for an evening (after work) social to celebrate the holidays. This is in lieu of the Thursday morning meeting. Additional information is forthcoming.
Those of you who regularly order breakfast know Sam, our awesome server. Sam often helps with room set-up and tear down, and always does so with a smile on her face. If you would like to make a contribution towards a special holiday tip from the club to Sam, please plan to do so at the November 17 or December 3 meeting. I hope you'll join me in showing Sam how much we appreciate her!
Sharing because it's funny...
Thankful Thursday
Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving filled with family, food, friends, and fellowship.
If you find yourself without plans, please don't hesitate to reach out. Tim and I don't want anyone celebrating alone unless they want to.
