Rotary Club of West Shore Spokesman
District 7390 - Club 5368
Meeting most first and third Thursdays of the month from 8:00 - 9:00 am
at Perkins Restaurant (7 Erford Road; Lemoyne, PA)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I've been sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Currently, I'm on day five of no taste or smell, which is somewhat of a bummer given all of the incredible food that's been available.

Still, life goes on and there are projects that need volunteers. We are almost done with our club projects! I'm tired. I'm also greatly encouraged by those who continue to show up. THANK YOU.

December 1, 2022 Meeting Agenda
  • Welcome & Invocation
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Introduction of Visiting Rotarians & Guests
  • Blue Box - Happy/Sad/Brag Dollars
  • Announcements
  • Program - Scott Dunwoody and Cindy Mallow, Bethesda Mission
  • Closing - Four Way Test
Bethesda Mission
The Bethesda Mission has been providing hope and healing to hurting and homeless people in the Greater Harrisburg area since 1914. Though many see the Mission as a place for emergency shelter, the services provided go beyond that. Far beyond.

Scott Dunwoody, a graduate of Penn State, has been with the Bethesda Mission since 2009. He's currently the Executive Director having served as VP of Business Development and Director of Development in the past. His stint at Bethesda follows a 35-year career with the Department of Community and Economic Development.

Cindy Mallow, a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, is the Director of Development at Bethesda. Cindy has an extensive background in business and marketing, and has worked with Bethesda since 2014.
DVSCP Care Kit Delivery
Though we originally planned to deliver the care kits on Saturday, December 3, a weekday works better for DVSCP.

Therefore, delivery will be on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2. Bags can be picked up at Erin's home in Camp Hill at 9:00 am and will be delivered to a location in Carlisle. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, the address is not advertised, though it will be provided to drivers on Friday.

Hopefully, we can finalize the list of those who are able to help with this task at Thursday's meeting.
Camp Hill Parade of Lights
Rod, Rick, and I are planning to work on our club's light display the afternoon of Monday, November 28. If you find yourself with time on your hands, come on out to Seibert Park and join us.

The event runs December 1-3 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. The cost of admission is a new, unwrapped toy which benefits the USMC Toys for Tots campaign.

Though our name is listed incorrectly on the map, you 'll be able to find us at spot #10.

A reminder....
Those of you who regularly order breakfast know Sam, our awesome server. Sam often helps with room set-up and tear down, and always does so with a smile on her face. If you would like to make a contribution towards a special holiday tip from the club to Sam, please plan to do so at the December 3 meeting. Let's show Sam how much we appreciate her!
