Speaker Bio
Deb Stambaugh was born and raised in Petersburg, West Virginia until she was 10 years old and the family moved to Hanover Pennsylvania. At the age of five Deb was stricken with Polio. She spent six months in the hospital and came home with a paralyzed right arm. Deb and her husband have four children and seven grandchildren. Deb has been part of the Polio Survivor network for several years. Joyce and Deb have held packing events together with credible information packets going to daycare‘s preschools pediatricians, Amish facilities, and senior centers.
Her talk will be accompanied by Joyce Crutchfield. Joyce Crutchfield was born in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. She had Polio in 1960. She survived the iron lung and the rocking bed now she walks with crutches and has a brace on her right leg. Joyce got married in 1977. She and her husband had two sons with three grandchildren. She worked for the Federal Government until she retired in 2017. Joyce joined the Polio Network four years ago and she has enjoyed distributing credible information to Senior Health Fairs. Joyce also organized packed and distributed pediatric information to health facilities in the Harrisburg area.
