Speaker Bio
Sheri is an avid gardener and a member of Penn-Cumberland Garden Club. She is speaking to us on behalf of the club and their need for continuous funding and support for Civic Beautification projects throughout the county. The Garden Club maintains 17 different sites ..... some are pots and others are in ground spaces. They plant flowers in Spring, Summer and Fall in these spaces. Sheri's interest is the New Cumberland Library where she is one of 3 volunteer gardeners. They recently have completed a Sensory Garden for all ages there to replace the former Children's Garden.
Flags for Heroes Installation
Our club completed the installation of flags by the Route-15 bypass behind Penn Harris Hotel Saturday (8/30) morning.
Thank you Joan, Tim, Dave, and other friends who made it there to help out.
Remember to look out the window when you are traveling on the Harvey Taylor Bridge Bypass!
2026 Flags for Heroes Update
We are marching along with our annual FFH drive. We are at $6,800 for our $10,000. If you have any interested organizations or individuals who would like to contribute, there is still a chance. Please check out this page to donate.
2026 Flags for Heroes Dedication Ceremony - 9/11
We will be presenting our 2026 Flags for Heroes Dedication Ceremony at the West Shore Theatre on 9/11.
Doors open with light Refreshments at 6:00 PM; the program begins at 7:00 PM.
It's free for the community to attend. Please invite neighbors to join us and witness the 25th Anniversary remembrance. Our keynote speaker is Captain Gary Croweell. You can read a short bio here.
